Employment and Work

Skills Training

Always Home's client families are typically minimally educated and as a result work low-skill jobs earning hourly wages that place them at or near the Federal Poverty Level ($21,330 for a family of three in 2019).

Always Home's Employment and Work Skills Training program is a key element of our ongoing Homelessness Prevention efforts.  Unemployed/underemployed heads of household are enrolled in marketable skills training and education programs with the goal of increasing knowledge/abilities, gaining valuable certifications, improving access to job opportunities and boosting income potential.

Always Home focuses on providing skills and certifications in markets with high demand such as Certified Nursing Assistants, Patient Care Techinicians, EKG  and Phlebotomist Technicians, and even Class A trucking licensing.
