Often the families we serve need help with everyday basics. That's why we've opened Always Home Essentials, a  housewares shop dedicated to giving low-income families free access to new household items. With the help of this year’s Chamber of Commerce of Eastern Connecticut Leadership Program, the shelves are filled with towels, bedding, cookware, plates, glasses, utensils, small appliances, and other every-day essentials families need. By offering these items at no cost, we hope to reduce some of the financial burden that low-income families in our region face.

 

If you would like to help keep Always Home Essentials well-stocked, we've created a Walmart on-line shopping registry. All donations can be shipped directly to our office.  Click on the link below to get started.  Be sure to let us know if you're shopping on behalf of our client families, so we can thank you for your generosity! We also gratefully accept gift cards for groceries, gas or other household needs (major retailers or Visa gift cards are appreciated). Gift cards can be dropped off at our office  during regular business hours.
